Service Description

You'll perform dance movements on and off the chair and move your upper body with the beat of the music, as guided by your instructor. Chair dancing is full of fun where you do moves with music, and your body gets proper exercise too. You'll tone muscles, improve flexibility and burn calories. I will show different exercise levels and show you how to adapt the program to your current fitness ability. You'll continue to be challenged as your endurance improves. Based on the most popular new dances of today, I have put together an exciting dance program that combines Bollywood, Belly Dance, Contemporary Hip Hop, Chair Dance and Burlesque styles of dance. The program is designed for absolute beginners, so you can take your time learning. Since this program is ladies first, we go where the boys don't dare - shimmying, flirting, teasing, moving our hips, rolling our bodies, and showing off all our sexiness. You will be able to dance to three sexy Chair Dance routines and do a chair dance workout that focuses on strength! The dance routines will follow the structure of a dance class and are built gradually, learning one or two sets of dance moves at a time, and then practicing the newly-learned moves. Another set of dance moves are built on the existing dance moves and practiced until the full routine is learned. Don't worry if you don't learn the moves right away. I have plenty of experience teaching beginners, and have created the dance program with that in mind. The moves have been carefully designed for easy "body memorization". I've chosen moves for beginner dancers, BUT if you think you've got it down, I've put in plenty of extras to keep you busy and coming back to the program. Finally, we finish with a workout that either focuses on stretching, cardio, or strength. Bare feet are fine or heels with straps are recommended when dancing (3 inches to 6 inches max). Dress in something that makes you feel your best! This is a 4 week session and classes will be held weekly on Mondays from 6:30 - 7:30pm, beginning on February 5th through March 4th. No class February 19th. The cost is $60 for all 4 sessions. Pre-registration is required
